Advantages of Windmills

By Larry Marraggay

People today have different ways on they could come up in an alternative way to save from the energy that they usually used in a day. Sometimes, they are making some of the experiment and inventions on how they could use the things on their environment. Now, as the years and days went by, the active brain neurons of the people also change and develop, and they come up with a wonderful discovery, and this is the Windmill power. This windmill power is obviously came from the wind, the stronger the wind the bigger energy that it could produce, and it’s actually one of the safest way on how you could produce a current. Walking back in the year where current is not that popular to many home all over the world, most of the cow raising farm, like New Zealand, has this small water windmill, which used for fetching water in the underground. And how many years had passed, the country like Africa, has been widely knows this windmill as the source of their water irrigation and could possible the reason why lots of their farm products are still surviving despite of the humid atmosphere. Now, those countries that was mentioned earlier has used their full potential to create something with the windmill, and since countries like Philippines, Indonesia, Japan, China and all the countries that facing the huge pacific ocean, had create a very wonderful and much exciting ideas, and because of that, windmill as a source of light is already been known to everyone.

In the Philippines, most especially in Ilocos region, the community there is using a windmill to provide their daily energy consumption, this windmill has been build for how many years ago and could reach its optimum potential and proven many things, about the advantage of having windmill and using windmill to their home. There is one trivia about electric fan and many other fans that people commonly use in the house are actually inspired by this windmill. Since windmill now is very much useful, many companies like Mitsubishi are creating a special type of fan that is very much close to the original windmill. They make it more powerful and more energy saver and could help the people to avoid some expensive appliances on their home. The turbines and many other types of equipment that runs by this wind are originally come to the idea of windmill, that’s how windmill really affects the world and the people lifestyle. And for how many generations had passed, the idea of power generation using a windmill is extremely become strong, and they make sure that in the years to come, the people who are working and making this windmill project, will show to the world and explain to the people the electrical power that a single windmill can offer and how it will last. But if you are still in doubt of what could this windmill can do to you and to your family, then just consider these following advantages that even the experts say about having a windmill. And first thing on their list is the pollution avoidance. Accordingly, the primary used of a wind turbine or windmill is to generate an unpolluted society and this windmill also does not generate any radioactive waste that other forms of electricity can generate. For sure, you know the world’s first advocacy, and it is the earth hour, where people are pleased to off their lights even in just an hour or two, to help the mother earth. And the primary concern of this is the atmospheric condition of the earth, where our weather became hotter and hotter every day. Aside from that, the construction and installation of a windmill have much lesser expense and impact to the environment than to the other energy sources.  The second most advantage and highlighted about the windmill is the protection and safety. Yes, protection and safety, why? It’s simply because when a typhoon or natural disaster comes, your house will not be affected by the sudden black out because you’re using a windmill, and  if there is a heavy rain or strong wind, it will be more great for you and to those people who used windmill because you will be having a great and high electricity. And remember, that electricity is important to know the latest update in the news, on what will be the best thing to do while waiting for a rescue. The third important factor or contribution of the windmill is the benefit that every consumer can get, without spending money. as you can notice, when you are connected with a community where the source of electricity is the water or sun, you couldn’t do something about it, I mean, you will not owned the whole property, because it will be impossible for you to owned it, but if you will have a windmill, it is so easy to have your own because you will just spending some money to build for it. And last but not the least is the things that were used in producing electricity. As you can noticed, the electricity coming from geothermal and kinetic is very much expensive because you still have to buy for a coal, oil and natural gas, plus it will contribute more in the pollution of the earth, while in the windmill, you will not need to buy for these things just to have your own electricity. Wind can already suffice it and could already give you the best electric service.

Thus, wind power or the windmill has more advantages than the disadvantages, for example, the eco-friendly contribution to our community and to our world. It is not expensive also; self-reliant method of generating and electricity and most of all only have minimum maintenance. But even though you can see some hole to this solid uses of having a windmill, it will not still destructs or breaks the fact that windmill is much better than any other source of energy. If you want it, then you can have it, your own electricity, and your own advantage. So what can you ask for? Windmill is really great and it really gives so much happiness and joy to the people.

How Green Mining Systems Reduced The Environmental Damages

2/15/2012

By John Jayme

Mining is crucial not only to the economy but also to our day to day life. The battery that we use, to the things that make up our home; these entire things can be rooted to mining. This is the reason why we need to take a look at the positive and the negative things that it left to our environment.

There are different effects when it comes to the past practice of mining methods in the different parts of the world. These days, since global warming and environmental issues are now on center stage, you have to admit that this changed the landscape of mining methods. More and more people are now aware of the negative effects of mining to our forests and natural resources, thus the mining firms were forced to change their means of production. This is the reason why manufacturers have shifter their jewelry manufacturing methods to something that is environmentally friendly.

If you will look at the different governments today, more and more laws are being passed in order to legislate green mining systems. Even the third world countries are now doing something in order to protect their country from devastation. If you will think of it, there are different negative side effects of mining today. Some mining firms in the past would make use of lead in order to produce gold. This is not really a good thing since aside from the fact that they dispose it on rivers, they are also making it hazardous for the people. It would even take years before a place could recover.

Some mining firms in the past would even exhaust all the minerals that they could get from the ground. This prompted landslide and other disasters in some places. Fortunately, jewelry manufacturing methods today and even mining systems revamped their ways in order for this scenario to be avoided. Another thing that can give us the jewelries that we need is the use of electricity in separating the different minerals. These simple concepts can really be effective in not just reducing waste byproducts but also the cost of producing jewelries.

Another thing that made the green mining systems positive these days is because of the fact that they have managed to revamp their waste management methods. This means that they have minimized the risks involved in disposing acid based wastes. These disposal techniques are useful not only to the environment but also to the company’s reputation.

Since mining can’t be avoided, we really have to make sure that we find alternatives. For one, it has been a practice in the past to have open pit mining. This is actually dangerous not only to the area but also to the health of individuals living in the mining site. This is the reason why explosive mining has long replaced this old method. With these new technologic advances and alternatives, mining’s footprints to the environment could be decreased significantly. Though this is something that is straightforward in approach, this method keeps our environment safe while we still get the minerals that we need.

Facts About Organic Beef

2/15/2012

By Larry Marraggay

Organic beef can only be classified as organic if it came from a verified meat production system.  A cattle should have certification that it was raised from a certified organic pasture that is supported by US Department of Agriculture. There are standards that should be met to gain the support of USDA.  The cattle all throughout its life should have not been given any antibiotic and any formula that promotes growth of hormones. When it comes to the food that the cattle should have eaten, it should be foods that are certified organic such as grasses and grains. It is also important that the cattle has no restriction to have outdoor access while it was alive. Muscle movement of the cattle should be increased while it si being raised. If all of these are certifiable to the cattle, the it should be classified and  passed  as organic beef.

If you are thinking that organic beef is just the same as natural beef, you should understand that those are two different things.  Natural beef can be considered natural based on the way the cattle were raised. The cattle should not be given any additives on its food intake and it should have minimal consumption of processed food. While organic beef raisers are totally restricted to give antibiotic to the cattle, natural beef producers is not restricted to any rules such as this, as long as the cattle have a 120 clearance or free from any antibiotic, it should be allowed. Natural beef producers may choose not to give antibiotic or any formula that promotes growth but they are not restricted to any rules about it as well. There is also no third party that will verify if natural beef were raised by following such rules.  This is where demarcation line between organic beef  and natural beef is drawn. It is important that this is understood so we that we will go wrong with the choice of food that we will have.

According to the US Department of Agriculture, natural meat should not have any artificial coloring or flavoring, preservative should not be added nor any artificial ingredients. In general, processed meat can be considered as organic also.

There are two kinds of feeding program that is being followed to raise organic beef. First is the grass fed cattle. A grass fed cattle can only eat certified organic grass until the cattle is slaughter. According to experts,  the cattle feed on plainly certified organic grass produce a leaner meat and the fat is less.  On the other hand, grain fed cattle are more common in the market. This type of meat is easier to find. Cattle fed in certified organic grain produces a more flavorful meat but a higher percentage of fat.   Both of this process would pass as organic beef, however, it is still best if you are able to classify the difference. There will still be instances that its best if you understand both so you can explain better when asked.

Since production of organic beef is a bit hard, some beef producers exports beef from other country. However, there are instances that the beef being supplied does not completely meet the standards in raising beef in an organic way.

There are also advantages and disadvantages of having organic beef.  We have already presented that an organic beef can only be fed on organic grains or pasture therefore the chance of having a mad cow disease is less.  By the way, mad cow disease is due to the byproducts that are given to the cattle while they are being raised.  You will be able to identify meat as conventional if its meat is not lean and they are fatter.  For meat raiser, raising natural beef is much easier because they can opt to give antibiotics or formula that promotes hormones when needed. Natural meat does not also need a certification from a third party verified such as USDA.

Organic beef also has a reputable tag price and is always the choice of health enthusiasts. There is actually no proof that there is a big difference in nutritional content between organic and natural beef, but heath enthusiast still prefers traditionally grown beef due to the fact that it’s less exposed in pesticides and hormone enhancer. In fact there is a recommendation from American Heart Association that having a moderate consumption of beef, be it organic or natural, helps decrease heart illness.  Cattle fed in the traditional way also have more percentage of omega 3 fats compared to the others that were fed the conventional way.

According to experts, organic beef does not guarantee to give more protein, iron or even vitamins to food consumers compared to those that are raised in a conventional way.  Beef raised in traditional way may have less fat and slow in gaining weight because of the fact that these cattle are vegetarian and they have more muscle movement.  But in general, organic and natural beef both have fat content, to be specific these are saturated and trans fat. These kinds of fat are the leading cause of high cholesterol. Therefore, consumption of meat products should be in moderation at all times irregardless if its organic beef or natural beef.

When it comes to exposure to pesticides, organic beef does not have 100 percent protection from it. Even if farmers does not spray pesticides where the cattle are being raised, cattle are still affected by the neighboring farms, there is a possibility that farms nearby have sprayed some chemical to protect their plants and animals and these chemicals may have reached the cattle that that are in the other farm. On the side, scholars have confirmed that exposure to pesticides may have affect endocrine and nervous systems of the animals and if these chemicals are passed on to human can give a great in having cancerous diseases.

In general, it is far better if choose cattle that are raised the natural way. Just that choosing organic beef may cost us a little more than natural beef.  However, it’s still best that we practice moderation in anything we do especially with our food consumption. This is only way we can help ourselves to become healthy and live longer.

The mindfulness about organic products has gained popularity at the present date and lip care products are no exemption to that. Indeed it is true that lip care products are very important, but it must be certified free from harmful substances that may cause damage to our skin. You should try to look for alternatives because nowadays, conventional chapstick are widely available which contain these harmful substances.

Extreme weather, heat and cold air, all of these contribute to the damaging effect on our lips. Of course, the best way to prevent this is hydrating your body with water. But, the market has given us products that can aid us in taking good care of our lips, so why not grab the opportunity? And that’s why we have organic chapstick.

First of all, the purpose of using chapstick is to make our lips moist and protect it against external exposure which causes dryness and cracks. Since the skin of the lips is so thin, it is most at risk to first signs of dryness.  With the use of chapstick, moisture loss is prevented and lip comfort is then retained.

The use of organic chapstick is a very good choice for women. It has all the vitamins and therapeutic ingredients from natural herbs that will surely restore your soft, beautiful lips. It will further leave your lips smooth and nice, free from cracks and dryness. So why use other types of chapsticks when the organic ones are available for you?

You must remember that chapsticks that are not organic are highly toxic for your lips. They contain chemicals that aren’t pure and may cause you allergic reactions. Organic chapstick has no synthetic additives, non-sticky, preservative free; it’s simply made from pure and all natural formula.

According to studies, chapsticks that are not certified organic have been tested on animals which simply mean that they may contain genetically modified organisms and pesticides that are very detrimental to your health. Furthermore, they may have carcinogens, beeswax, lanolin, petrolatum which is firmly linked to breast cancer, and padimate O which penetrates the lip sheath to escalate exposures to the carcinogens. Among these, petrolatum has been the major concern of the health department.

Many are saying that using chapstick is totally dangerous to one’s health and lips. They said that we should not get caught by the endorsements presented to us by different celebrities because not all of them are real. Beautiful packaging and colorful products may caught our attention easily, but always remember to think of your safety and health first. For sure, you do not want to harm your precious lips. Yes, all of these are true, but let us also keep in mind that some companies are still doing what’s good and giving their consumers reliable products. Organic chapsticks are safe and should be used instead. After all, they are made from natural substances.

Do not be easily fooled by any product. Be wise and invest your money and most of all, your health to products that are organic. Aside from being purely natural and keeping your health safe, you will also protect the health of those people around you.

Cooking and eating go hand-in-hand. They don’t fail you when it comes to fun in cooking and pleasure in eating. But let us not forget what it means to cook in a healthy manner. What does this mean? Well, let’s talk about cookware. Yes, they matter a lot especially if we want to give the best and healthy food in the table.

Some people never recognized the role of cookware on their regimen. They ultimately judged the food with its taste and appearance alone without taking into consideration its nutritional value. However, people nowadays are becoming aware of this concern due to the recent increase in health problems and obesity.

It is very important to always remember that organic cookware is essential in creating quality food. Quality, in the sense that taste and appearance are present, yet one’s health is never compromised. It may be a little time consuming to prepare a meal with the use of organic cookware, yet you can create a delicious, satisfying menu while maintaining the nutritional value that your body needs.

Although technology has brought to us all the modern, easy to use cookware in the market, it is still incomparable to the organic cookware our natives have been using. Yes, modern cookware has made our lives easier and faster, but they also took a small part of it. Plastics, aluminum, copper, metals, and other synthetic materials contain chemicals with them that can cause a lot of health problems to our body, especially when we use them to cook food. Remember that these products may contain toxic compounds that can have direct impact to your health. They are potentially very perilous to one’s body to the point of having miscarriages if you are pregnant. You must also take note that storing food in any type of cookware is a big NO, especially those food cooked with tomato or citrus dishes. You must select a container made of glass which will not leak chemicals.

It is best to use cookware made from bamboo, wood, or other organic products. Aside from the fact that they keep your body healthy and away from those life-threatening chemicals, organic cookware is much cheaper and affordable than that modern cookware out there. Let’s not set aside the fact that it might keep you cooking for a longer period of time and require more of your effort, but its benefits are more than enough to compensate for all of that, especially to your health. You can’t afford to lose your health just because you didn’t use the healthy, organic cookware in your kitchen.

Living a healthy lifestyle is not a must; it’s a choice you have to make in order to live longer. You have all the power over yourself about the things you want to use, and one of them is the choice of cookware. If you want to live longer, then go for it. Never let ease and comfort take over you and your family’s health. Give them the best, delicious, and high-nutritional value food if you can and start it by using organic cookware.

Great Tips for Buying Organic Shoes

By Daniel Harri

Buying organic shoes is one way that people can assist the environment. Furthermore, it has been shown that natural shoes normally improve the walking or running experience for consumers. Reducing the impact of global warming can therefore start by simply buying organic footwear. Through incorporating sustainability, fair work practices and animal rights in their design, organic shoes allow consumers to take their first step towards a greener fashion style.

1. Research online

Nowadays, you can find almost anything on the internet. Hence, it is a great place to start for those in search of great looking organic shoes. Various major retailers like Patagonia and Terra Plana sell environmentally friendly footwear that are suitable for various kinds of lifestyles. A large part of the shoe industry is regarded as environmentally conscious and thus many stores normally carry some kinds of organic shoes in their shops. Simply research organic shoe companies on the internet and find out the style of shoes they offer.

2. Look for USDA label

A crucial factor that many users forget in their rush to go organic is simply to look for a USDA label prior to purchasing the shoes. The reason this is recommended is because all certifying agencies should comply with all USDA standards to be formally labeled organic. Hence, the label guarantees that the organic pair of shoes that you have bought is made using materials that are produced without artificial chemicals.

3. Buy vegan shoes

Take your organic experience to a whole new level by buying vegan shoes. You can even try out the new organic footwear line by Natalie Portman. Since animals normally use up more resources and energy than plants, opting for shoes that are completely made using vegan components is an effective way of assisting the environment. Better yet, vegan organic shoes are a chic and stylish option for many women as compared to the standard eco-friendly footwear.

4. Check out sports stores

Many outdoor sporting stores are usually committed to the exploration and conservation of the environment. In effect, most of these stores are keen on incorporating environmentally friendly practices and products in their businesses. Hence, you can save a lot of time by going to these stores for appealing organic shoe choices that are suitable for any season.

Organic shoes are highly sustainable as they are made from natural ingredients such as cork and hemp. These kinds of ingredients are usually biodegradable and grown by using an organic approach. This means no chemicals are used for either increasing production of getting rid of weeds. Ensure you only purchase leather that has undergone tanning by natural chemicals. Additionally, organic wool also offers an important key potential for the production of sustainable shoes. This is because it is better than standard wool and other artificial alternatives that may harm the environment. Organic shoes are also the ones that are sewn together using natural fiber in an attempt to minimize the use of glue, which is toxic.

Organic Phones - Greener Mobile Use

Rating the Wireless Providers on their Concern for the Environment

So, how green is your cell phone? According to recent research, AT&T Wireless seems to be more conscientious than other major cell phone providers when it comes to caring about the planet. Sprint Nextel came in second in the studies while Verizon trailed far behind, placing third among the major firms. According to the findings, AT&T apparently demonstrated that it has made and is making an effort to address the issue of CO2 emissions.

Cell Phone Usage – Contributing to the Problem of Global Warming

When it comes to greenhouse emissions, telecommunication networks currently emit about three percent of the gases on a yearly basis with cell phone networks contributing to about ten percent of that percentage. However, major cell phone companies have been able to lower CO2 emissions to a certain degree by producing phones that are more energy-efficient. AT&T stated that they have succeeded in reducing CO2 or carbon dioxide emissions to a level that translates to an amount equal to the removal of 40,000 cars off the highway.  However, considering that there are millions of cars traveling the thoroughfares, that figure seems rather insignificant when you look at the picture overall.

Solar and Wind Usage – Organic Sources that Need to Be Fully Utilized

Currently, most cell phone manufacturers are not devoting more attention to upgrading the technology so phones can efficiently work with alternative or organic energy sources such as wind and solar. Typically these options are considered as backup sources of power.

Cell Phone Components – Hazardous Materials

The fact that companies are not more dedicated to creating phones using alternative energy sources is not particularly good news, especially when you consider that some of the components that make up cell phones are considered to be quite toxic. For example, cell phones can be comprised of materials that are made up of PVC, zinc, lead, phthalates, brominated flame retardants, and even arsenic. Many of these materials end up in landfills where they take decades to disintegrate, with a good portion of the toxic byproducts leaking into ground water supplies or contributing to global warming.

Therefore, if you no longer want your cell phone, make sure you don’t trash it but donate it for recycling instead. You really don’t want the device ending up in a landfill, especially since most of the approximately 150 million cell phones that are used are relegated to the trash. In fact, eighty percent of those phones are never recycled but continue to corrupt the environment.

Some Green Cell Phone Models

Samsung Models

So, when it comes to actually marketing environmentally friendly phones or green cell phones, the Samsung brand seems to lead the pack, creating a number of models, such as the Reclaim, BlueEarth, and F268 for consumer use.

The Reclaim by Samsung is made of 80% recyclable content, with the casing for the phone manufactured from a biological plastic composed from corn. The phone is also PVC-free and Energy Star endorsed. Samsung claims that the phone is almost free of brominated flame retardants (BFRs), which have been found to be highly toxic as well as hard to degrade.

Samsung asserts that its BlueEarth model, introduced to the UK market, produces less CO2 and is phthalate and beryllium free. A solar panel is located on the back of the phone to keep the device operational. Samsung’s F268 model phone is free of the carcinogenic chlorinated plastic of PVC as well as BFR too.

A Motorola Innovation

Motorola has also been touting its Renew phone, showcased as the first cell phone on the market that emits no CO2. Designed and manufactured with water bottles that have been recycled, the phone is notably totally recyclable.

Review your Options

Hopefully, people will eventually value the importance of using cell phones that are free of harmful substances and materials. If you are using a cell phone now that would be considered unsafe, take time to review the safer alternatives.

When we first hear of the word threading, we all know that it is the process of artistically and efficient way of removing hair and shaping eyebrow. This process is considered chemical free, so if asked is threading organic we can definitely say, yes it is. According to history, this is a 6000 year old practice that came from India. Though there is also a claim that this process originated in Turkey. Threading is 100% all natural because there is no chemical used in the process. A clean cotton thread is only tool being used plus the expertise of the person performing the process. The thread is skillfully manipulated where unwanted hair is found such as the eyebrow area, upper and lower lip, cheeks, sideburns, and chin and also in the neck. With this process, hair is removed from its follicle that is why skin area becomes smooth. If you’re wondering if any needle is used or any kind of cream being spread on the target area, answer is, no there is none. A basic cotton thread is used as a tool to remove hair and ensure its follicle is removed too. On the other hand, I once witness an officemate of mine doing threading on another of our officemate and she used face powder on the area she is working on. Well, in my opinion, the face powder applied cannot be considered chemical because this is actually used on our face. My officemate, Neah applied it to the area to smooth the skin and so than hair can be

The organic threading by far is a popular method in maintaining beautiful eyebrows. This process is used by common women and also by popular celebrities anywhere in the world. In fact this process gains high respect around the world especially when it comes to removal of facial hair. Is threading organic accurate? Answer is yes also. This process can accurately target removing a single hair amongst millions. With this precision process, it actually gained respect from many popular celebrities from Bollywood through Hollywood. Aishwarya Rai, Reese Witherspoon, Cher, Salma Hayek and even Brad Pitt are among the important names and respected actors and actresses who have admitted they are using this process.

Is threading organic a painless process? Yes it is and it is considered the painless and gentle way of removing unwanted hair. This technique is harmless and damage free to any kind of skin. It does lift hair from the very root making the process less painful. The process can attack each and every fine hair right from the follicle. Many people considered this process so much better than waxing and it last also longer. Meaning that is how effective it is, it is more effective that waxing. By the way, it’s better not to use harmful chemical in the skin especially if you have a really sensitive skin, therefore it is really proven that threading is organic.

Is threading organic long lasting? Yes it is. The mere fact that hair follicles are removed, it also means that no roots are left for any hair to start regrowing soon.  This process also affects the quality and quantity of hair on the target area. More often than not, the part of the skin where hair is always threaded, what grows next are less hair, meaning less number in count and also, what comes back are the less thick hair strand.  This is why hair is of different quality upon coming back. To promote safety and hygienic process, it is best to use clean and brand new thread every time the process is repeated. To add more, threading is regarded as an inexpensive process of maintaining beautiful skin without unwanted hair. Process can take not more than 15 minutes to remove unnecessary hair in the eyebrow. What is more interesting is that this treatment can last for four weeks before hair comes back to grow. Not bad, 15 minute process of removing unwanted hairs in the eyebrow are can last for four weeks, it is truly fantastic. Many fanatics also admitted that with threaded hair, make up lasts longer on the face and it does not looked caked on the face.

Is threading organic have any disadvantages? Answer is yes. There are few disadvantages of the process, however this are very minimal. It is a fact that it’s very hard to find someone who is very skillful in practicing threading. Hair threading can only be done on surfaces that are flat. This process cannot be done on knees or along bikini lines. Also, this process is not recommended to persons with severe acne. Thread can actually rapture acne giving a great chance for the acne to be infected and become worse.

I’d like to share a story about a personal experience of someone I read online. This one is from a certain Jacqueline Abner, one of Yahoo Contributor Network. This lady actually shared her personal experience with threading. She was convinced and actually said yes when asked with the question, is threading organic. Jacqueline admitted that it was her first time to hear that threading eyebrow is done to remove unwanted hair; this is especially done also on other parts of the face. This lady one time ended up to the point that she had to shave her face because of the perennial hair she has.  She said her mother gave her her fine skin but her father gave her her thick hair. The process was introduced to her by an Indian girlfriend. After she was convinced in trying the process, she was accompanied by her friend to the beauty parlor that has an expert practitioner of hair threading. She admitted that the process was painful at the beginning. She described also like there are fingernails running across her face. Good thing is that the pain did not actually last the whole process; it was only for two minutes. Once finished, Jacqueline was excited to see her face in the mirror and she can’t believe what she saw. The shape of her eyebrow was perfect and more beautiful that the result of tweezing or shaving. From then on, she did not go back to shaving and waxing, but just threading on her hair.

In general, threading is a very safe process of hair removal. The only risk is getting a few nicks on some part of the area but it is tolerable if I am to be asked. There is always a painful part if anyone wants to attain beauty.

Paper is basically described as a thin piece of material used for various purposes, though we usually use it as a tool for writing upon or for packaging. How are they made? Well, it’s just simple and systematic. Damp fibers are pressed together and then dried in order to form flexible sheets.

Paper is very important to us human beings. Imagine the world without it, isn’t it terrible? Therefore, we have to use it appropriately while making sure that it doesn’t affect nature’s balance. So how can we do this? Organic paper is the solution to that problem.

We must remember that paper production may bring about pollution, specifically paper pollution. Of course, people need paper products, but we should see to it that it comes from organic sources, sustainable, and goes through an ecological safe production.

When we talk about organic paper, we are actually referring to those papers crafted from a variety of natural fibers, may it be pulp wood fibers or hemp plant fibers. Moreover, it should have observable textures, degrees of natural shades, and a general organic guise and sense. The world’s first entirely organic, non-toxic paper made was brown in color with components such as wheat, maize, and other crop bushes.

There are actually different types of organic paper available in the market. This would include organic rice paper, organic wheat paper, organic maize paper, mixed organic paper, and organic bamboo paper.  First of all, organic rice paper is basically non-fibrous, refined, delicate, thin paper that comes from the pith of rice paper tree that is commonly cultured in China and Japan. With the use of a sharp knife, the pith is then cut and made into thin layers. Rice paper is generally white in appearance, absorbent, long-lasting, and is often used in arts and crafts. Aside from these, it is also a best choice for calligraphy, poster painting, sketching, and ornate purposes.

Another type we have is the organic wheat paper. It is made from the name itself, wheat fibers, that are golden in color. The excellently compressed wheat pulp provides a fine surface to the wheat paper. This type of organic paper is commonly used for art purposes and at the same, time as home decorations. The third type is what we call organic maize paper. This paper is one that is made from the fibrous litters of maize processing. Fact is, it is a good replacement for the wood fiber used mainly in paper. Maize paper is indeed gleaming and thin and they are mostly used for packaging purposes.

Next, we have the mixed organic paper which is best for card making. It has milky shading and implanted natural trimmings including coconut, banana, mango, and more. And lastly, we have the organic bamboo paper. Long and thin fibers from bamboo are used in this type of paper. In the process, the bamboo is crushed and is soaked in lime water for months. After the sheets are dried, they are now peeled off as fine-looking bamboo papers.

These are only some of the many organic papers that can be made from natural sources. They do not do much harm to the nature’s balance than those made from in-organic, synthetic ones.
